Biography

 

Abdorreza Kabiri-Samani was born in Saman, ShahreKord, Iran, in 1977.
He received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, in 1999, from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Iran, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Hydraulic Structures and Hydraulics from Sharif University of Technology (SUT), Tehran, Iran, in 2000 and 2005, respectively.
 
Abdorreza Kabiri-Samani is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering and Fluid Mechanics, at Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. His research interests include design of hydraulic structures, experimental investigations of two-phase flows, applied hydrodynamics, and hydraulic engineering. He has been an active consultant for private organizations. His publication record includes over 50 international refereed papers. He co-authored a book “Hydrodynamics”.
 
He received the 2011 Youngest Premier Researcher Prize Awarded by Iranian President, the 2008 “National Elite Foundation Award’’ for being ranked the highest of all Ph.D. graduated students in the Civil Engineering Department of SUT and the 2006 ‘‘Tavakkoli Prize’’ due to his applicable research in ‘‘Two-Phase Flow Mechanics’’. He has also received numerous awards for excellence in his field of study.
